Out-of-state PCP? Between doctors?

Moving, a delayed first appointment or a home-state clinician who cannot see you while you are in Texas can interrupt treatment. A bridge refill is a possible temporary continuation of established therapy—not a guaranteed prescription or a replacement for ongoing care.

Start with your pharmacy when refills remain

Your home pharmacy may be able to help transfer an eligible active prescription to a local pharmacy. Ask before paying for another review. If there are no refills left, the prescription has expired or the pharmacy needs a new prescription, a clinician may need to evaluate you. Pharmacy policies and medication restrictions vary.

What to have ready before you start

A clear bottle or pharmacy-label photo; medication name, strength and directions; when you last took it; your home PCP and pharmacy contact details; allergies; and relevant recent readings or lab results if available. Select your DFW pharmacy and confirm its opening hours. Send health information through the secure intake, not ordinary text.

$39 covers the clinician review. Medication and testing costs are separate. Reviews occur during business hours and timing varies. A clinician may need records, video, testing or an in-person evaluation. No controlled substances; prescriptions, quantity and timing depend on clinical judgment.
